Before proceeding, please be sure that your computer has the latest Universal Control installed.

These instructions are to be used if you are using Capture 3 software and you are getting errors which might be similar to the expressed below:
1. Capture gives me a "record enable failure," you cannot move the timeline, or arm a track in a new session.
2. When trying to open the Capture session file in Capture or Studio One, it fails and gives an error message about "file not found."
3. Capture crashes on start up or crashes on start up or while using your mixer.
4. Capture will only show one Cascaded StudioLive AI mixer when recording.
First, you will want to close the Capture software and make sure it is not running. Then you will want to do the following steps:
For Mac Users:
1. Go to this folder below (note that this folder will be hidden on a Mac and must be located by Spotlight search).
2. The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences.
3. Locate this folder below and Delete the contents of the Capture 3 folder:
/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/PreSonus Software/Capture 3
For PC Users:
The Capture 3 Settings file is located in a certain area of your User Account profile.
This is different per User Login on a computer and will need to be deleted in all.
Go to this folder in a new Windows Explorer browser window:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Capture 3
Delete all it's content and restart the software.
Then, make sure you are using the latest version of Capture by following the link provided below and try again:
