How to uninstall Studio One on Mac and PC.

Uninstall Studio One from the Start menu (Method 1)

  1. Right click the Start button and go to Apps and Features

  2. Scroll down to the Studio One application and select the app, then select Uninstall.

Uninstall Studio One from the Settings page (Method 2)

  1. Select Start, then select Settings  > Apps Apps & features

  2. Select Studio One from the list, and then select Uninstall.

Uninstall Studio One from the Control Panel>Programs (Method 3)

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Control Panel and select it from the results.

  2. Select Programs Programs and Features.

  3. Press and hold (or right-click) on Studio One and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change. Then follow the directions on the screen.

Removing files from the ProgramData Folder

  1. Please browse to the following directory c:\ProgramData\PreSonus.  You may need to enabled hidden files on your Windows system, Step 2 from the following article will help : https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052943431-Problem-Activating-PreSonus-Sphere-where-nothing-happens-after-entering-your-credentials-Windows- 

  2. Please select the Studio One folder you wish to remove and delete.  Please note if you have other PreSonus applications installed then they will also appear here so please ensure you are removing the Studio One folder.

Removing files from the AppData Folder

  1. Please browse to the following directory c:\users\username\Appdata\Roaming\PreSonus.  You may need to enabled hidden files on your Windows system, Step 2 from the following article will help : https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052943431-Problem-Activating-PreSonus-Sphere-where-nothing-happens-after-entering-your-credentials-Windows- 

  2. Please select the Studio One folder you wish to remove and delete.  Please note if you have other PreSonus applications installed then they will also appear here so please ensure you are removing the Studio One and the Plug-in Scanner folder.  You may also see a list of DUMP files that can also be removed.

Uninstall Studio One by using the Finder

  1. Locate Studio One in the Finder by going to the Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Finder > Go > Applications.

  2. Drag the Studio One app to the Trash, or you can select the app and choose File > Move to Trash.

  3. You may be asked for a username and password so please enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. This is probably the name and password you use to log in to your Mac.

  4. To delete the app, choose Finder > Empty Trash.
  5. Drag the Studio One app to the Trash, or you can select the app and choose File > Move to Trash.
  6. Go to "Go" in the Finder menu bar and hold down the "Option" key on your computer keyboard until the hidden "Library" appears.  Go into Library/Application Support/PreSonus and delete the Studio One 5 folder.  This is where your settings for the program are stored.  Back them up or do not delete them if you are going to re-install Studio One.  You can also delete the plug-in scanner folder.  If you are not using any other PreSonus software or hardware, you can delete the entire PreSonus folder.  
  7. Go to "Go" in the Finder and go into the Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/PreSonus and delete the Studio One 5 folder.  If you are not using any other PreSonus software or hardware, you can delete the entire PreSonus folder.  
  8. Go to "Go" in the Finder menu bar and hold down the "Option" key on your computer keyboard until the hidden "Library" appears.  Go into the hidden Library folder and choose the "Preferences" folder.  Delete any files that start with com.presonus if you are not running any PreSonus hardware or other PreSonus software applications.  If you are running other applications or hardware, you can just remove the Studio One plist.
