The output of the average record player is not high enough to work with the Ceres 3.5BT or Ceres 4.5BT RCA inputs. The output signal from your turntable needs to be sent to a phono preamplifier first; the preamplifier will boost the signal to the required level. The first-generation PreSonus Monitor Station (but not the Monitor Station V2) includes a phono preamp, and phono preamps can also be found in DJ mixers and as stand-alone products from many retailers.
