ATOM SQ: Pad configuration

Published July 22, 2020

ATOM SQ has three ways to configure the layout of the pads: Keyboard, Blocks and Continuous

    • Ensure that ATOM SQ is connected to your computer via USB
    • Press Inst
    • Press the button above Pads. Each press will change the configuration mode
      • Key - This is ATOM SQ’s keyboard mode. The bottom row serves as the white keys on a piano keyboard and the top row mimics the black keys. The Green pads are the root notes selected as the Root in the Inst menu. The dim pads on Row 2 represent the gaps between notes B & C and E & F. This mode is best used with melodic/keyboard instruments.
      • Blocks - This separates ATOM SQ’s banks in half vertically. Pressing the A-H buttons will change the banks and the colors of the pads will be reflected as such. This mode is best used with drum or sampler instruments.
      • Continuous - This separates ATOM SQ’s banks in half horizontally. Pressing the A-H buttons will change the banks and the colors of the pads will be reflected as such. This mode is best used with drum or sampler instruments.
