Universal Control and how to add a NickName to your tablet – Knowledge Base | PreSonus

Due to changes on iOS, your device running Universal Control can not take the devices name to populate on Universal Control to assign AUX permissions. This has been addressed by allowing Universal Control to give the connected device a "Nickname".

Please ensure you are running the latest version of firmware on your StudioLive and Universal Control on your tablet

StudioLive Series III firmware should be v2.8.2.103375
Universal Control v4.6.0.103899

Please ensure you have correctly setup your wireless network

Step 1: Open up Universal Control on the table and click the top left options

Step 2: Click on "Change Nickname", enter the nickname and press return

Step 3: Open up the permissions section of the StudioLive and apply the connected devices permissions, there you will now see the name of the connected device.

This will only have to be completed once and Universal Control will populate the Nickname when its connected again.
