If you are having a problem with the C++ runtime environment on a Windows machine, this can sometimes result in hardware not showing up in Universal Control, missing .dll files, or possibly crashes with software. Below are instructions for repairing the C++ Runtime Environment.
- Make sure that you have installed all of your updates for Windows.
- Open Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
- Select 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-XXXX Redistributable (x64),' and choose [Uninstall].
- When the Uninstaller window appears, choose [Repair], NOT Uninstall.
- Restart your computer and test for the issue once more.
