Melodyne: Not working in Studio One 6 (Windows)

This article is for issues when a previously installed Melodyne is not able to be used in Studio One on Windows.

Also, if you upgraded from Melodyne Essentials to Melodyne Editor/Studio and Essentials is still showing, this article will also help.

Otherwise, please follow the steps below:

1. Uninstall Melodyne from Windows Control Panel > Programs. At this point do not reinstall it.

2. Open Studio One and check to see if you can add Melodyne to a track. If you can, close Studio One, look in your VST folders, and delete the Melodyne.dll and the Melodyne.vst3 file.

  • C > Program Files > Common Files > VST3
  • C > Program Files > VSTplugins
  • Also, if you have custom plugin directories, check those.

3. Make sure all traces of Melodyne are removed from the computer.

4. Go to your Celemony.com account, login and download the version of Melodyne you have registered and reinstall.

  • Melodyne has to be activated in Stand Alone mode, it can not be activated from within Studio One. This means, close Studio One, browse to the folder where Melodyne is installed. Launch Melodyne from this folder, and follow the on screen activation instructions.

5. Open Studio One to scan. Also, make sure Studio One is rescanning the plugins. In Studio One > View > Plugin manager, press the Remove Plug-in Settings button and the Update Plug-ins button list.
