[5] Studio One Pro 7: Installing Additional Content [PreSonus Sound Sets]

*** If you are using a custom location, such as an external drive, for installing sound sets, please note the following:

Custom user location:
Studio One does not reset the file paths, it always uses the default User Data location (which you can set yourself) and an additional shared location to store the sound sets.  If you re-connect a disconnected external drive you will need to set the location in the Installation dialog to the external drive path, so that when you download content, such as sound sets, everything gets installed to the correct place.

OneDrive:
If OneDrive syncs the Documents folder, Windows puts the Documents folder in the OneDrive folder and changes the actual file path this way. This is Operating System behavior and not something Studio One can control. To fix this, we recommend that you do not sync in this way. So, remove the Documents folder from OneDrive.

A solution is to have a manual sync folder where you daily drag your song folders into instead of syncing your library folders such as Documents in OneDrive. ***

Content Installation

Studio One 6 comes with many audio loops and instruments that are organized into Sound Sets, as well as demo songs and tutorial videos. The number of Sound Sets available for installation depends on the version of Studio One you have installed (Prime, Artist, Professional, Studio One+).

To install the Sound Sets and demo/tutorial material, launch Studio One and go to the menu Studio One > Studio One Installation.

Internet download speeds and times will vary based on where you are in the world.

We can assure you that we have provided our downloads to be available worldwide. While not everyone can have reliable access to high-speed downloads, we recommend using a hard-wired Ethernet connection for downloading large content libraries. Additionally, we recommend high speed wireless access. We do not, however, recommend using your cell phone hot-spot as a data download device. For a complete article discussing how to make the most of your internet connection for large downloads, see our knowledge base topic on the subject here: Downloading Internet Content: Recommended Practices.
