With the release of Mojave, Apple increased macOS security to disable the use of the microphone unless expressed permission is given to an app. This is true for Catalina and all future macOS releases as well.
You may receive a prompt stating 'Studio Pro would like to access the microphone.' In some cases, no message appears, but audio will remain blocked until Microphone access is manually enabled in macOS Privacy & Security settings.
- Open Privacy & Security in macOS System Settings.
- Select Microphone in the list.
- Enable the slider beside Fender Studio Pro 8 in the list of apps that are allowed to use the microphone.
