Why am I receiving an error message when activating Studio One that asks me to log into and agree to the most recent terms of use?

***Before you do anything, you need to log into your account and verify that you have entered a first and last name.  Click the "Edit Profile" button to view the account information.

***It is sometimes necessary to disable "Controlled Folder Access" in Windows 10 for this setting to stay.  Here is an article from Microsoft with instructions...

When creating a PreSonus account at, a pop up window will appear asking you to review the most recent terms of use and agree to them.  The window looks like the picture below.

You must check the box that you have read and agreed to the PreSonus Terms of Use after reading them carefully.  It is possible that you have a pop-up blocker in your web browser that has blocked this window, or you closed this box when creating your account.  If you skip this window, you will receive the following error in Studio One, when you try to activate.

In the event that you have run into this situation, you will need to log into your account and click the link to "Review the Updated PreSonus Terms of Use."  This link is in a yellow bar at the bottom of the screen.  Here is a picture of this window.

Once you click the link to "Review the Updated PreSonus Terms of Use" in the yellow bar at the bottom of the window, you will want to read and agree to the terms of use.  Once you have done so, you can re-open Studio One and activate without getting the error message.
