Studio One 6: Create a system report (SPX file) in macOS Sonoma

When reporting an issue while using Presonus products on Apple(Mac) computers to Presonus Support, we may request a System Information File. In macOS, this file is also known as a "SPX" file. The following details are what we are able to view in the file:

  • The hardware that’s installed on or connected to it.

  • Your computer’s network connections.

  • Your computer’s software, including the operating system, apps and kernel extensions. (You can see the versions, modification dates and locations of each software item.)

When relevant, Presonus Support will request this to troubleshoot your computer. During your support ticket request process, you can either create and attach an SPX file or when support requests the SPX file, create and attach the file to your ticket. This is extremely important, and will help us to quickly resolve reported issues.

If you are on a previous version of macOS that is not Sonoma, please click here for instructions.

To access your MAC's System Profile:

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  appleIcon.png  > System Settings.
