Configuring your FaderPort 8 for use with Studio One requires:
- Studio One version 3.3.2+
- Setting your FaderPort 8 to Studio One mode
If you're not sure if you are running Studio One v3.3.2+, open Studio One 3, click the "Help" drop down menu, and select "Check for updates..." Updating to the latest build of Studio One version 3 will ensure you're running a version that supports your FP8.
NOTE: The FaderPort 8's "Studio One mode" is not supported for Studio One version 1 or 2. However you can use the FP8 in MCU mode on earlier versions of Studio One.
Your FaderPort 8 should boot in to Studio One mode out of the box. But you can check which mode your FP8 is in by turning it off, pressing and holding the first two "Select" buttons on the unit, then powering the unit back on. This will take you to a mode select screen.
Select "Studio One" and press the last "Select" button (under the LCD that says "EXIT"). Now you are in Studio One mode.
Now, when you boot up Studio One it will automatically configure and sync your FaderPort 8.
