Which AVB switches have been tested and are currently approved for use with AVB enabled PreSonus devices?
PreSonus will be conducting ongoing testing of AVB capable network switches as more come to market, in order to verify those makes and models that function correctly with our AVB enabled products. This page may be updated from time to time, so check back often.
Approved:
Currently the following AVB network switches have been tested and confirmed to work with our StudioLive AI And Series III Consoles for connection of mixers Over AI Stagebox Modes and Cascade RM Mix systems.
- Make sure to update to the latest firmware to resolve an issue MOTU has noted with their prior firmware that can cause AVB audio not to pass. See Changelog here.
2) Extreme Networks Summit X440-8t
- Software version supported: ExtremeXOS 15.4.1.2 / Hardware: Rev 11.0
- NOTE: AVB License/firmware is required. Must be purchased from Extreme Networks at the time of switch purchase.
Pending Further Testing:
The following AVB network switches are not currently working or supported, but are currently being tested and are hoped to be supported in the future
1) Netgear GS716Tv3 16-port with AVB Firmware: Currently not functional, but we are working with Netgear to determine if these can be made to work
2) Netgear GS724Tv4 24-port with AVB Firmware: Currently not functional, but we are working with Netgear to determine if these can be made to work
3) Netgear GS748Tv5 48-port with AVB Firmware: Currently not functional, but we are working with Netgear to determine if these can be made to work
