The Apple Mac Book Air 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation models may experience performance issues with the AudioBox VSL Software.
AudioBox VSL Software uses kernel mode processing to handle effects and channel management. The MacBook Air works on a low voltage power schemes to boost power where it needs it but not for sustained periods of time. The MacBook AIr series has shown difficulty handling advanced tasks such as Fat Channel and ADAT Channel processing.
The MacBook Air falls into the same category as a Windows Netbook and is not a system we can heartily recommend for use with the AudioBox VSL Series products.
Customers having issues with this configuration may find better performance by moving to a different mobile Apple system, such as the MacBook Pro, designed for handling multi-channel audio and video processing. Even older versions of MacBook (non-Air) and MacBook Pro running Core 2 Duo processors (last made in mid-2011) would offer better performance for this application.
