Why doesn't the Faderport 8 work the same in each DAW?

The Faderport 8 is a control surface which supports both the Mackie and HUI midi protocols. It also supports a proprietary midi mode for native Studio One 3 support. (Must use Studio One 3.2.2 or higher).

When using DAW's that support the Mackie and HUI standards, functionality will vary depending on how each DAW developer has designed their DAW to work with the midi standard. This means there will be slight differences in the way each DAW works with the Faderport 8.

To get a better idea of how each DAW differs, please refer to the section in the Faderport 8 manual for each DAW.
